The Ballechin 10 Year Old Heavily Peated is particularly popular. With a peat content of at least 50 ppm, it clearly points to Islay. At the same time, it retains the depth and elegance of the Highlands. Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, it impresses with sweet smoke , toffee, spices, and a pleasantly long finish. Chill filtration and coloring are completely avoided, resulting in an honest and unadulterated whisky .
