What began in 2003 in a small room in Union Hall is now one of Ireland's most exciting whiskey stories. Three friends, a few used stills, and a healthy dose of curiosity—that's how West Cork Distillers started. Today, on 12.5 hectares of production land in Skibbereen, stands one of the country's most modern distilleries, boasting 16 pot stills, its own "rocket" still, state-of-the-art laboratory technology, and a distinctive style. The commitment remains the same: honest, high-quality Irish whiskey, innovative yet rooted in tradition.

Every day, barley arrives from the region, is processed locally, and matured with great care. Up to 55,000 casks are stored in the company's own warehouses, and the team now comprises around 140 employees from the surrounding area. This local connection is not just a side note, but a promise. At the same time, West Cork Whiskey can now be found in almost 70 countries – an export success based not on quantity, but on character.

Whether classic bourbon cask maturation, robust black casks, or creative finishes in IPA, rum, or Calvados casks, West Cork stands for diversity with a distinctive character. The distillery has received numerous international awards in recent years, yet remains down-to-earth: an Irish whiskey that meets its audience on equal terms, that is allowed to surprise, and that always stays authentic.
